Government to bring Lokpal bill in next session of Parliament: Khurshid
Referring to social activist Anna Hazare's demand for Right to recall the elected representatives from Parliament and State Assemblies, he said it is not possible without taking political parties into confidence. He said, the governments will not take any unilateral decision on this issue.
Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid has said that the government will bring a bill in the next session of Parliament to prevent people with criminal background to contest elections. Talking to media persons at Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, he said, consultations with political parties have already taken place and discussions are on with other stake-holders in this regard.
